Review
History (and publications that have actually run reviews) will tell whether the Tina Fey answer to Knocked Up fulfills our every dream of the Tina Fey answer to Knocked Up—that it is, in other words, unsentimental, non-reactionary, and (actually in keeping with Apatow’s fetus flick, not to mention 30 Rock) giddily hilarious. Were it to fulfill that dream, we would see it three times in the theater and preorder the DVD. But if it did not—if it merely worked to extend the Tina Fey brand into multiplexes, and the script kinda sucked—we would have been glad to savor it at least once, and cheer on the just-this-side-of-subversive you-know-who. (Also, Amy Poehler is funny.)
